The fabulously iconic designer Jean Muir was decidedly well known for her use of rayon fabrics and this stunning dress is no exception to the rule. I recently wrote a Spotlight blog about Jean Muir, one of my favourite British boutique designers, which featured this particular range of Muir dresses in Over 21 Magazine 1973 .This scrumptious midi is unmistakably Ms.Muir. Trace the distinctive cut, to the cutom-made gloriously transparent glass buttons, which complete the magnificent batwing sleeves. From the mandarin deep slit neckline, to the in-seam hidden pockets the garment finished throughout with coppery orange over-stitch. This beautiful dress has maintained its original integral cinch waist fabric belting, which adds a feminine definition to an variously straight cut midi dress. It’s so very graceful whilst being incredibly wearable, this simply epitomises a Jean Muir garment.
