Stunning late 1970s possibly early eighties, dress by an outright legend of a designer, in my humble opinion, Janice Wainwright. Regarded highly by fellow iconic designers of her time, adored by the women who coveted her designs and notably respected by the fashion industry to this date Ms. Wainwright is a fashion force to reckon with. This glorious dress is made of the finest black moss crepe which gives the garment a wonderfully semi-sheer appearance, with peek-a-boo chiffon panels to the skirt sides, showing just enough skin to entice but not overly suggestive. Certainly has a 1920s flapper feel to it in areas of the cut and panel detail. Bat wing sleeved and cinched at the waist with a drawstring tie, the drape of this dress is beautifully subtle and incredibly feminine and delicate to boot while velvet trimmings finish off a dress to wear with ease.
