Sensational, elegantly lengthy gown by London based designer Ayesha Davar, who I feel has designed some of the most beautiful garments I have seen. This extraordinary beauty is reminiscent of Ossie Clark and Bus Stop designs of the time. Her dresses are made in India and are almost always cut using the most spectacular and exceptional fabrics. This beauty is made from a gloriously fluid, almost crinkly, cheesecloth, cotton fabric. Fabulously fluttering angel sleeves drape the arms in folds of feathery softness, a plunging neckline is fastened with a single fabric covered button to the floral decorated yolk and to secure, the dress has a full hidden zip to the back. Folksy and romantic, a truly angelic dress.
Having typically enjoyed a previous owner and possibly years of storage, vintage clothes will naturally bear some evidence of their age and history
