Clobber for Jeff Banks
Jeff Banks opened his first fashion boutique CLOBBER in London in 1964. By 1969 he found that it was such a huge success, he decided to launch his own 'stand alone' fashion label 'Jeff Banks' shops, as well as retail outlets in department stores such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols. The rest, as they say, is history....
This remarkable princess style coat is testament to the fabulous creations by Mr.Banks in the late 1960s early 70s. The velvet has a wonderfully dense texture and fine luster to the fabric - smooth and plush to the touch in one direction and hardy with firm fibre in the other. A single breasted button through coat, lightly fitted to the waist with a full skirted flared hemline. The high stand button up collar is beautifully completed with a cinnamon satin fully lined cowl style hood. An incredibly wearable and exquisitely versatile coat to wear for any occasion.
