I have owned several David Silverman designs over the years and have loved each and every one of them. David Silverman once owned the boutique 'Marlborough Dresses' in the 1960's, which was situated in Margret Street in London's well known garment district. He then opened 'David Silverman Dresses' after the sale of his first boutique. His designs were said to have been 'ahead of their time', as a man he was said to have been 'cool', 'artistic' and 'a true legend of the rag trade'.
David Silverman has certainly designed some wonderfully free flowing, chiffon styled dazzlers and many of them maxi style dresses - this bohemian inspired vision is a thing of beauty. Flutter sleeves are a truly beautiful design feature flattering the arm and giving a feeling of free-spiritedness. The drape of the crepe fabric just oozes quality, it has an attractive satin back linear embellished pattern and could easily be worn during cooler months. The dress has a sweeping maxi skirt, with an empire line and fabric belt to tie, the only other decoration being a full metal zip to the back of the dress. A gorgeous dress, simply designed using high quality fabrics. Superb!
