Editorial by Caroline Baker. Photography by Helmut Newton. Scanned from NOVA Magazine 1973 by Miss Booty Barefoot for Sheer Clear Showers…

Although rather racy, this is one of the most incredible editorials by Caroline Baker ever! The photography by Helmut Newton is visually striking,  if not somewhat raunchy in my humble opinion. However, if you look past the near nakedness and ever-present peeping nipple, the images captured are way ahead of their time, bold and fascinating, capturing the seventies at its best I feel. The fashion is not only colourful and flamboyant but in most instances, certainly the blouson jacket and wrap skirt and a-line raincoat, beautifully wearable –  if you are going for a ‘look at me now’ kind of image!

I love this editorial and feel that is perfectly placed here at this time with our impending April to whenever showers looming. Don those raincoats girls and be as daring as you like! xx N xx
