For a moment Russalka relaxed. This is where I kick off on the grande dame bit, she thought. The rich red check of her pure new wool three-piece made a splash of live colour against the sombre bodywork of the Cadillac.

“Nice,” Gloves grinned. “Real nice. I always liked a shot of sea air. Smart move to switch routes, baby.”  In her Shetland  sweater of pure new wool, Russalka smiled and said nothing.
